Hey, I recently updated cydia and I got the quarter panel but only for the digits parts of the passcode screen. It only allows me to enter 1,4,0, and *. Here is a video to clarify what I am saying. I also have the app igotya for theft purposes incase someone steals it. With this being the case all my settings, contacts, apps, photos, etc are hidden after 3 unsuccessful attempts to unlock the phone.

Nop, those are primary tools the you have to install when you jailbreak. If you can get on safe mode with any of the ways that is on the tutorial then you are going to have to backup the phone with itunes and then restore the iphone to start again :(

Never seen either of them. I used limera1n with cydia. All my apps should be backed up with cydia (the jail broken ones) and the rest with iTUnes. Just sucks I can't unlocked the phone at all unless I go into the IGotYa secure mode which hides everything from me anyways

I had experience this problem on multiple occasions now and I say that if I boot on save mode then restart everything go back to normal, however I had not been able to find the root of the problem. I'm still looking to see.

The issue came up after I try one cydia update today as well so... I don't know. After the update it will hang up on loading the files but never finished and after reboot bang, quarter of the screen again and I have to do that safe mode stuff.

I just don't know how to access safe mode since I can't put my password in. And after 3 failed attempts it enters secure mode hiding all the apps

I tried updating and restoring but keep getting an error. Anyone know whats up?

I enp up restoring my phone to stock and re-jailbreaking the phone, I been running JB for about 3 again and had never see the issue again. Maybe we did something to fast the first time that screw something up but this time I took my time and I had not see that so far.

itunes won't let me restore it. Gives me an error everytime. I downloaded the update sep from itunes and tried restoring it that way but I still get an error

Put the phone on dfu mode and you will be able to restore the phone. Just use redsn0w to put it on dfu then try the restore.
