Photo Stream

Can anyone help me please. My photo stream shows photos is no particular order, can these be sorted in date order ?

Also I'm up to my 1000 picture limit in photo stream, so assumed old ones would fall out for newer pics, however I can't see some recent pics but the old ones are still there.
