Thanks for the nice photos. When a lot of people think of a castle they think of a medieval fortress with battlemented walls, towers and a keep, this one looks like a large country estate.
It looks like you went to another Christmas fair.
This castle was built as a hunting lodge, and some time later enlarged by Empress Maria Theresa.
There's a Pannonian Christmas market every year in Advent; it's supposed to be the most beautiful market in Burgenland, and I've never visited it before. So I went there this afternoon.
Were you able to attend a concert there on this trip?
No, I was there for a short time, and saw the building from across the street. It's near Karlskirche.
It would have been great, though.
