Is it a Roman mile marker?
I think it's a votive altar (I couldn't find a better translation). It doesn't belong to my village, so I'm not exactly sure what it is. Most words are not complete, I can't translate it correctly.Is it a Roman mile marker?

In the 1700's something similar to what J.A posted was unearthed but for some reason it is the museum at York not ours, There are clues in the name of the town and some street names but not much else, Everything has been changed so much now.Are there any Roman remains?
