I was a young boy when the original Shingle Inn was a running business in Brisbane City and can recall dining there.

The Shingle Inn in the city was one of my favourite places to buy a treat....they had such a wonderful array of cakes. My mother always took me there as a child also when shopping in the city! I'm surprised to see so many in most of our suburban shopping centres now....although I'm quite happy I can still buy those small cakes!
