I think you should get it REPLACED, but it's up to you. The iPhone is a great device, I'm sorry this issue is changing your perception of the device.

I am surprised that in all these battery threads no one ever mentions "battery conditioning". Every rechargeable LiOn battery needs to be conditioned at first. Charge it. Use it till it dies. Repeat two maybe three times. After that the battery will be fine.

I've done this with every cell phone I've owned. On my Droid 2 I get almost two days easily with mild use and over 15 hours with heavy use.

First and foremost, while battery condition is always good practice, it won't solve this issue.

Apple has multiple bugs in the version of iOS that was loaded into the iPhone 4S. And this version IS NOT the same version that was released as the GM or Final for everyone to download for the iPhone 4. Hence why the 4S when tested against the 4 doesn't show the same issues.
