Phone has stopped working, saying No Sim tried all sorts .

Could you supply some more details, such as which phone, how long you have had it and whether it was working satisfactorily before this?

Try going into Settings > General > About and see if any message pops up saying something along the lines of "New Carrier Version Available."
Also like carolineM says, please give us the model and version of iOS, as well as your carrier. Did you have LTE, 5G, 4G, 3G?
