steps to use lap top to create contact list.

any tips out there, I need to create a new an complete list of contacts. I would like to do it on my laptop and move it with a patch cord to my I new iphone. Is it doable, I would step by step if anyone has the time, or link to tell me how. not to computer savy, nor with the new phone,

Have you set up an iCloud account? That would probably be the easiest way. You can enter the information in the Contacts app in iCloud in your browser and sync to your phone.

What Dave said is how I did it when I switched from my android to an iPhone. Worked really well for me.
