Unwanted Apps

It really annoys me that apps are foisted on us taking up precious space with no way of deleting them.

This is one of the many reasons I dumped Android. For what it's worth, iOS is nowhere near as bad as most Android phones.

Yeah, Newsstand should really have been an install rather than a default app. Perhaps the News app in iOS 9 will see some use on my devices.

With iOS 9, there is no more newstand app. It's been turned into an ordinary folder that can be deleted.

The only stock app that takes any space to speak of is iBooks. About 42 mb.

Can the user add an RSS feed or URL in the News app? If so then that app will definitely get a lot of use here.

There will be a large number of news feeds to choose from but if your favourite RSS feed is not on the list you can't add it yourself.

Well, I'll be happy so long as I can get the Apple-related Forum Foundry news sites in the app. Otherwise the app will be relegated to a 'junk' folder and I'll continue to use the Reader2 app.
