I believe that unless you paid full retail price for your phone when you upgraded, you lost your unlimited data plan. That cost could be over $800.00, depending on which iPhone was desired.

Yup. A friend of mine bought a used 4S, replaced the battery and such, and used it on his unlimited rather than buying a new one as an upgrade from his blackberry. They'll get your money either ways. Either from you giving up your plan and using a limited data plan, or make it from you buying the device at retail
