If I had to guess I'd think that the current heavy plume of Sahara dust will stifle most of it all of any cyclonic development as the system comes across. Ready for rain yes-an early tropical storm or Hurricane. nope [emoji19]

Deeper concerns for Gulf of Mexico. Normal situation early season. Other is mapping of Sahara dust on the Atlantic which can stifle cyclonic activity

Development in Bay of Campeche could give TX or the Gulf a soaking. TS Bill should stay offshore, Cape Verde activity hopefully will choke on the Sahara Dust mid Atlantic.
