Thanks! I hate this BB. It is hourglassing and I need to access my contacts. Very mad! Then the twice a day battery swipes are BS too. lol!

I probably will never get one as the monthly fees are way to much for me:( I pay $60 a month now, for unlimited everything...

Isn't the iPhone like $150 a month?

yeah i tried a bb for 5 minutes and did not like it

I dont know to be honest i bought mine factory unlocked in england

I just got the iPhone 4 10 day ago, coming from Android and Windows Mobile, I ve done the jailbreak couple of day ago - very happy- a new universe to discover......thanks

Hello - long time BB user. Had a short fling with the Palm Pre + and the Droid X. Last week, I decided to try the iPhone 4 from VZW. So far, it is just fantastic.

I've had 2 touchscreen devices before the iPhone, a BB Storm 2, which I liked a lot, and the aforementioned DX. After I got the DX, my spousal-unit gave (yes, gave) away my S2 to a friend of hers. I lived with the DX for 6 months or so. It is amazing how better the virtual keyboard is on the iPhone 4 vs. the DX. I was skeptical at first, but now I can bang out texts and e-mails with good speed and great accuracy. Plus, the iPhone's portrait keyboard is usable, which is awesome.

The one area where BB has an advantage is notifications. I knew this going in, so I installed an app called MailTones, which gives me a nice long, loud notification on one of my critical e-mails I use for receiving pages from work.

I look forward to lurking/learning in the immediate future, and to contributing meaningful posts in the long term on this great forum.

I wish I would have considered an iPhone sooner!

welcome to the forum! you did well waiting until now because the previous iphones had much less features and abilities. from the first iphone that you had to jailbreak in order just to have a background pic or send mms.. and some of them where only enabled in 4.0 firmware. so really now was the perfect time to get in... still missing a few things like bluetooth send/receive but its doing much better these days

Hi, I got my black iPhone 4 16 GB last fall and I am loving it.
Am searching for info regarding how to jailbreak from ones carrier so it would be possible to use another sim card while being overseas in Europe. Any suggestions?

you mean unlock. jailbreak you will need to do it as well but jailbreaking alone means you can install any app with out apples approval..

now tap on settings > general > about and tell me what it says next to modem firmware

Hello everyone! I am coming over from using Android since it evolved. I have never owned an Iphone before, so everything is brand new to me. I've looked around here and it looks like a nice place to hang out.
