What Does iMessage Do and Why would I Use it?

It's instant, only works os5 to os5 devices, doesn't cost or come off your tariff... Not sure about showing on bill though

As tintbob said above... it allows free messaging between iDevices running iOS 5+. Not sure either about the messages showing up on your statement or now... i'll have to check up on that one.
