It'll make sense in time, when everything has USB-C but right now it doesn't.
I really hope so, In the meantime I need to go and buy that 2015 model before they disappear. It'll make sense in time, when everything has USB-C but right now it doesn't.
I have looked but they don't have the model I want, I'll keep checking though, it would be a good solution.Have a look at the refurbs. You can save 15% going that route.
Be sure to let us have your thoughts on it.I'm getting myself one for Christmas to replace an old laptop from Dell (running Vista)

It seems the 2015 MacBook Pro will be in the Apple Store for the foreseeable future so no rush to buy after all, I can always wait and see how much longer my Late 2013 will give me good service. The downside is my AppleCare runs out in three months.Have a look at the refurbs. You can save 15% going that route.

I'm sure before long there will be a choice of these things on Amazon and the Apple Store of course.Cheap, it isn't, but this hub could be the one to go for. It's the only one I've found that includes an SD card reader.

I always thought that too......I read something about those factory refurbs. I always assumed they were dealer returns or the like. Apparently they are not. They are pulled from production because of a QC issue. That issue is dealt with before they go on sale, so in reality, you are getting a brand new computer.
