Who's buying the new Macbook Pro?!

I've pretty well formulated my strategy now. Skip the iPhone 7, since my 5s is still doing well, get the 8 when it comes out. Mac Mini early next year, probably the 2Tb version so I can have all of my music right on it without an external drive and keep my MBP until it won't update any more. Then see about a new one. Might be a free year to get an iPad Pro in there too.

It seems the 2015 MacBook Pro will be in the Apple Store for the foreseeable future so no rush to buy after all, I can always wait and see how much longer my Late 2013 will give me good service. The downside is my AppleCare runs out in three months.

The AppleCare on my first MacBook Pro ran out 7 months ago.

I read something about those factory refurbs. I always assumed they were dealer returns or the like. Apparently they are not. They are pulled from production because of a QC issue. That issue is dealt with before they go on sale, so in reality, you are getting a brand new computer.
