I think its good that they are at least trying to fix it. Compared to other manufacturers that just dont seem to care

I really wanna get 4s but am really confused and worried about the battery performance, should i still get one or not?

Battery performance is something that plagues all smartphones... iPhone included. If you're looking for a phone you can go days without recharging... then the iPhone 4S is definitely not for you. I can't think of any that would be for that matter. Will you have to charge it everyday, most likely. Occasionally you'll get away w/ every other day recharging. If you're looking for an amazing phone with equally amazing performance & operational ease... then definitely get the 4S!!

Beta 1 probably killed that infrared sensor that Siri uses and Beta 2 turned it back on all the time. That's my new theory.

True. I have this today Weird hey? One day hits good one say bad lol. Not understanding it. But all I've been doing is playing music. Light Internet browsing , Facebook , this forum and that's it. Not great yeah? Or yeah?

I installed the new update yesterday. Downloaded and installed while hooked up to my PC. I've noticed today that the phone seems to be using about 3% per hour of battery in standby. That's much worse than before the update! Tonight I'll leave it on after full charge to make sure of how much it's using.

As far as standby goes my phone is doing 2.1% an hour. If I'm using my phone constantly in forums, Facebook, twitter, texting, and emailing it's about 10-15% an hour. That's not including phone calls. I actual think phone calls uses less battery because the screen isn't constantly lit, however I haven't tested this theory yet.

True. I'm getting similar figures. Maybe worse sometimes

Yes! It can be inconsistent even though you do the same routine.

I wonder why though. I have another update.

It's rather good. No complaints. I think with this public update the iPhone first reaction is bad then gets better with time.

What does this picture mean? Is the phone showing how much battery it's using, or have left.

If your referring to holding the power and home buttons down simultaneously until the apple logo shows on screen? Then yes.
