If your referring to holding the power and home buttons down simultaneously until the apple logo shows on screen? Then yes.

I'm not completely sure, but I think he means starting all over again by going to Settings - General - Reset - Reset all settings. This should bring your iPhone to its set up screen to where you can set it up as a new iPhone, or set it up through back up.

Yeah that's what I mean because it helps better to set up has anew although it sucks. It will clear all the past bugs or issues that you had before. I did that and it helped.

So what you're saying is wipe the phone and start over?

Oh well.. I guess I don't have a choice. So anytime I update my phone I have to do this?

By the way, which reset method do I use?
Reset All Settings
Erase All Content and Settings
Reset Network settings

Not always. But you are having issues with battery or something and a new update comes, then set up has a new iPhone

Will this delete all my content, contacts, pictures etc?

Yes it will. First thing you need to fi is back up your device. Then restore. When it's done set up has a new iPhone. Then manually sync all your apps, pics, media etc back to your phone

Weird when I tried restoring the phone thru iTunes, it's asking me to update to iOS 5.0.1. I did that via OTA the day it was released.

iOS 5.0.1 is in BETA only for developers. If you do NOT have a developer account and you install it, you will be LOCKED OUT of your phone due to being unable to activate it properly. Heck I am a dev and I was locked out until I re-synced the phone with my account. A nice little heart stopper at around midnight :)

And I never turned off ANY of the suggested items in any of the threads. Which is why I am cautiously optimistic about this new version having solid fixes for the true issue.

I plugged my iPhone into itunes on thirsday, and it updated me to 5.0.1!! Its here!

I have restore my iPhone as new, iTunes also make me update the phone again. (weird) now I will see what happens, hopefully it was worth the 1hr.30min.

There is no training then battery's in these phones man, it's not a 1991 Nokia.
Jut charge the Dam thing stop playing with it all day and you'll be good

Just to say the FIRST FULL UNINTERRUPTED CHARGE is the most important, i know impatience will cause mant not to bother and fail to do this, the battery then gets completely out of phase.

A new battery is just like an new electrolytic capacitor, it needs to 'form' properly, it may need many several full usage charge cycles - but it WIILL take them to your advantage if allowed!
