MacBook Pro Retina

I put an SSD in my old Dell laptop and also did a clean install of new OS, Win 7. (the horror..talking of Windows here!). Anyway...the SSD is a dream. My old laptop now boots up in under 30 seconds where it used to be over 3 minutes. I though about getting the Fusion drive which is a "hybrid" hard/flash drive for my iMac, but didn't. Not sure I miss it to be honest.

hows the SSD on your windows machine? I use windows 8 on one of my machines but it does not have an SSD.

YAY......Got my new MacBook Pro Retina, Right now I'm transferring data and because I'm doing it over wi-fi it's excruciatingly slow, it's about halfway now.

Data transferred, Wiped the hard drive on the old one (that was a bit scary) and reinstalled OS X, Now my buyer needs to get over here and grease my palm

Now why did I think you sold it back to the shop? For some reason I thought you traded it in?

I was going to sell it to a shop that buys devices, computers ect but a friend says he wants it, He has an 8/9 yr old Windows laptop so this will be a dream for him.

Seems a shame to cover it though, Its really beautiful as it is, I think ill get a clear snap on cover and I think this calls for some lovely new wallpapers.

I must say I'm impressed with Apples Migration Assistant, It took ages over wi-fi but after it finished everything was on my new Pro right where i left it on the old one.

BTW, I got one of those Speck clear snap on cases that lets the aluminum finish show through.

i broke the charger on mine and am on 5% battery so I have to use my iPad until tomorrow

I'm looking for one of those, i had a Speck case on the old one, The thing i don't like is have the name Speck on the top but they are good.

iPads are great but can't take the place of a good computer can it, I would be lost without my MacBook.
