MacBook Pro Retina

This is soooo fast, I clicked on a wallpaper and clicked on add it to library and in an instant it was in my library.

hows the SSD on your windows machine? I use windows 8 on one of my machines but it does not have an SSD.

It was a snap to install and works like a dream. Fast boot and does not run hot. The fan barely ever comes on. It's a Kingston Digital 240Gb SSD.

I got one of those Speck clear snap on cases that lets the aluminum finish show through.
Thinking of ordering one, Is it a good fit and easy to put on?

We must have the same photographer! Minus the tree. A friend of mine took this in Nova Scotia a few years ago.

Thanks for the pics sci, Its absolutely clear is it? no tint? In the last but one pic it looks like theres a cut out, What is that for?

It's perfectly clear, with no tint. The cutout in this photo is to allow clearance when the computer is opened.

BTW, I changed the photos in my post so if I got the wrong one, tell me which one it is now.

I love my MBP with retina display. I opted for the SSD drive and have no regrets. I backed up my old MBP with Time Machine. When I powered on my new MBP I used the app (forget the name but it will prompt you) to build from Time Machine. If I remember correctly it took about 30 minutes or less. Once completed, my new MBP mirrored my old one expect much faster.

Enjoy!

Thanks Mike, I was going to use Time Machine but just plunged in with Migration Assistant to Migrate form my old Mcbook, It took a lot longer than i thought but it works really well.

I used Migration Assistant as well. Just forgot the name.

Its a great resource isn't it, saves a lot messing about.
I love how fast this is, I thought my old one was pretty fast but i see the difference now.

Isn't it great how well Apple devices hold their price, Mine is being bought by a friend who only has a 8/9 yr old Windows laptop, He is really going to enjoy and I'm glad it will make someone happy.

I gave my old MBP to my youngest son. He loves it.

When we unpacked our iMac (2008) we noticed it was making a noise. Thankfully, I made a backup because last night it would not power on. Not sure if we will replace or repair. I'd prefer to replace but the family accountant may not agree.

LOL, It would be nice to replace it with beautiful new one, Those iMacs are a work of art.
