What the Volcano Ash has done. [emoji17] This is a Flamboyant Tree just back of us. I took the first picture in 2017. Then this morning of early blooms. Both were taken roughly same time of year. The first was my lockscreen on iPhone 7Plus for quite awhile The tree may take a year for it to be 'screenworthy' again.

In the long term your blooms could be better than ever due to the increased fertility from the volcanic ash.

That has been said yes - about the soil for ground crops as well. But is not an overnight thing of course. The double whammy of drought + ash has killed off a lot. [emoji17]
