Not now that I have a new lawn mower.
Too artificial, way too expensive, and I like the smell of the grass after mowing.

Weeds love the bushes too.
It's easier to keep that area in acceptable condition when you just have to mow the lawn regularly. (Especially when you're gifted with my brown thumb. )

I guess his knowledge about gardening is as limited as mine.

His theory is that it will all grow again, Never mind that he scalps them and they look a mess for ages.
He's been banned from cutting anything unless I'm there.
