No. It isn't snowing there. It probably happened because the drivers were travelling way too fast with no regard for anything that was going on around them. To get some idea of how bad driving is here, imagine the Milan Tangenziale with all the drivers blindfolded. That comes close.

I've never been to that part of Italy, but I have heard about the driving style of the Italians. I've been told that the chariot race in Ben Hur is a good example.

Here's an indication of how people treat speed limits here. Some may find it funny. I find it offensive. You should remember that this is in a residential area. I'm sure Mark and Cory, whoever they are, will be very proud of themselves when they kill a child.

It exists, but the cops can't be everywhere at once. There is no will here to drive well. The police do what they can, but they can only concentrate on the real crazies. Local authorities use speed cameras to make money, putting the cameras in the least dangerous spots while ignoring school and playground zones.
