Winds are expected to be over 150mph as hurricane Ida makes landfall as a category 4 hurricane.

It’s looking like Ida will be one of the strongest hurricanes to hit Louisiana since the 1850’s. the eye will pass west of New Orleans which will means it will get the worst of the storm surge as the winds to the East if the eye are headed inshore. A 159mph wind could result in a very high storm surge. Hopefully it won’t overtop the levees.
