Remember the disturbance off the African coast S. of Cabo Verde a few short days ago? It's still showing a nice Coriolis twist on Windy but could eventually threaten the US East Coast. My Windy screenshot is run ahead about a week. [emoji3064]

The massive Hurricane Ida is easily visible on Earth from 1 million miles away as a white whorl at upper-center right in this view from NASA's Epic camera on the NOAA Deep Space Climate Observatory at a stable Lagrange point taken on Aug. 29, 2021 as the storm made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 4 storm.
