Welcome to the iPhone Forum! Please post an introduction thread.

Hi, just registered and read the rules, no probs.
I've searched through various threads but unable to find a 'match' for my query, apologies if I've missed something.
My problem is I find I'm stuck with 'no service' showing, plus a padlock symbol at the top in the middle of the screen.
Have tried various links on youtube with no success so far...any ideas anyone please?
Thanks in anticipation.
Oops that's an iPhone 4 btw.

Hello People!!!

I just registered this evening to find out a little more about my new iPhone 4s.

I have several questions that I will research and or post once I figure out how to work with this site ... since I have not been able to get answers at Verizon or at the nearby Apple Store.

All the best

hello and welcome to the forum! ask as much as you want and hopefully some one will have the answer.

Hello and thank you for having me on board. A long time android user who frequented Android forums and XDA developer sites. Have done plenty of rooting and custom roms themes etc, etc. I am not going to tear down android at all because I did learn quite a bit and have enjoyed many useful hours of learning, having fun and making new friends.
Decided to see what all the fuss was about and purchased my first Iphone 4. Yes was to impatient to wait on the backordered 4s. :)
I must say I am very impressed with how well this phones works in just about every aspect. Battery life is AMAZING ! GPS instant locks, photos and video, recording and playback, messaging (how fast they are sent and received) e-mail, reception and voice quality (again both ways) Wi-fi reception, browser speed on 3g, a constant 4-5 signal bars wherever I go. This phone just plain works wonderfully and will definitely be a keeper. The only thing I would put on a wish list would be a lil bit bigger screen. If this had a 4 inch screen I would be in heaven...
Can't wait for the untethered 5.0.1 to be released so I can begin having some fun learning so much more about this lil beauty !

Hello everybody
I've just signed up here and i'm up to learn a little more about my device.
I have an Iphone 4 32.
Hope i can make friends around here too and
Ah! I'm from Brazil

I am also coming from Android OS to the iOS. I purchased the iphone 4S 32gb and am really liking the phone so far. Rock solid stability and truly awesome battery life. I learned alot from android and will not bash any android phone or android user. To each their own. I am just superiorly happy on how much performance difference there is between the two. Of course i am coming from a single core droid X to a dual core A5 iPhone 4S. Still, this thing is great! I absolutely love the camera. Not a single droid has a good camera. I just wish the iPhone had a 4" screen and was 4G LTE. It's ok though. I love it for what it is right now. The nextgen will have it i am sure and i have another upgrade coming in August of 2012. To say the least.......i jumped to the iphone to see what the buzz was about and now i see!!!

Hi iPhone 4 and 4S owners. My name is Douglas from NY and I had gotten frustrated with my iPhone 4 running out of juice too soon, so I started looking for a solution. I found a case that had a battery pack and solar charger built-in and liked it so much,

<lets keep it at that>

Just wanted to introduce myself. Had numerous smart phones. Went from blackberry to droid and now to iphone. ordered the iphone 4s, backordered until jan 11th i think but i wanted to try and learn some tips and get some info before it gets here. im on a droid razr now (the 5th one in a month) and this phone was the last straw for me. never works, always random rebooting, etc.

ive never owned any apple product of any sort so this will be a big learning curve for me. looking forward to learning lots and finalllllly being part of teamiphone :)
