Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum, have been working with apple/iphone for the last 5 years. In my real life I work with app development, (primarily for iPad) so I have more experience with my iPad and have been a member at the sister site for awhile.

I'm interested in reading what is new over here because I'm perpetually curious.

Hi, new to Apple and bought a new Iphone 4s this weekend, and must say I am quite impressed with how smooth this phone functions. Have alot of exploring to do and looking forward to learning more.

Describe what u did! What u mean broken?! If u had a jailbroken/unlocked phone by software and updated via iTunes, u got ur baseband altered and locked it! Is that it? Can't downgrade baseband, since Apple erases ur older files.

In these cases, the trick is to upgrade outside iTunes, so you don't get your baseband altered!

I used to be in IOS 4.1 and upgraded to 5.1.1 preserving baseband. Then unlocked using SAM unlock, cause i was for sometime using a GEVEY SIMCARD PRO. Not anymore...

American iPhone4, "locked" to AT&T. Using it at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at Oi local company.

SAM unlocks only work if you have SAM tickets saved back when the exploit was open.
