Apple has a history of announcing new products long before they’re ready for release. For example Steve Jobs announced the original iPhone months before it was ready for sale.

However, they are selling the iPhone 16 without its main feature! At least with the original, they announced it and announced it was coming soon.

If you set your language to US English you should be able to get Apple Intelligence on October 28th. At the official UK release in December you can set it to UK English.
