Hmm weird. im on 5.0.1 JB now. been a while since my last JB phone so i dont really remember but i know i was on 4.2.1 and i had no clock yet had iphone controls pop up. Wish i could remember what i did to it than.well on my ip4 with ios 4.2.1. i use clock hide. and yes my clock hide also disables the ipod controls during lock screen. but on my phone i am able to double tap the home button and get the multitask bar. and then i just switch over to the ipod controls. but if that gets too long for you then you can set your volume buttons as next and previous. i also have that done so i can use my iphone with a glove on.
Tried it. i dont think it worked or at least did something that i didnt like with my iphone. Dont really remember now, ive been downloading apps non stop.I used Move2Unlock to hide my lockscreen clock, cant recall if it removes the ipod player or not and no way to test it since I have a 4S now.
